About the online role

Tutors provide live online small-group or one-on-one math support. Scheduling depends on tutor availability, subject fit, and active program needs, with many opportunities during school-day hours.

  • Remote tutoring from a reliable computer and quiet workspace
  • Stable internet and comfort using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms
  • School-day availability may be needed for small-group online sessions
  • Math support for grades 2-12 and beyond, depending on fit

Subjects and students

Math-A-Matics supports students who need patient, encouraging instruction tailored to their goals, confidence, and current skill level.

  • Grades 2-12 and beyond, depending on program fit
  • Foundational math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and test prep
  • Students catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead
  • Experience with learning differences, bilingual support, or teaching credentials is a plus

  • You enjoy helping students build confidence in math online
  • You have at least 1 year of paid tutoring, teaching, classroom support, or instructional experience
  • You can keep students engaged in a virtual setting
  • You are reliable, communicative, and comfortable with online tutoring tools

Interview note

Qualified applicants may be invited to schedule an interview with the Math-A-Matics team. The interview will include a short live teaching demo, and preparation instructions will be sent before the interview.
